Container, box or tin: which should I choose?

All three hold 5 litres of the same oil.

  • Plastic container (food-grade HDPE): light, strong and easy to pour from often.
  • Bag-in-box: an airtight bag with a tap. Less air touches the oil, so it stays fresher for longer.
  • Tin: fully recyclable and lightproof, the best protection against light and heat.

What does delivery cost for a 5L?

Courier delivery is priced by weight. One 5L weighs about 4.8kg, which is R145 anywhere in South Africa; two 5Ls (5 to 10kg) are R195. Retail orders over R3,000 ship free. Delivery takes about 7 business days.

How should I store a 5L once it's open?

Keep it closed, in a cool, dark place, away from the stove and sunlight. For everyday cooking, pour some into a smaller bottle or a stainless steel fusti, so the 5L stays closed between refills.

Can I collect my order?

Yes, collection is free from our Paarden Eiland shop or the Oranjezicht City Farm Market at the V&A Waterfront. Orders are usually ready within 24 hours.

Do you sell wholesale?

Yes. Approved trade customers see wholesale prices once they log in. A minimum order of R3,000 applies for wholesale discounts. Apply for a trade account.
