We’ve selected only the most extremely green olives—a masterful blend of robust Coratina, classic Frantoio, and the rich complexity of Kalamata.

Wellington Extra virgin olive oil, to me and my wife is the best so far in Africa oils.co.za, On salads, pasta, meat, bread, boiled potatoes or even making fry potatoes every were. It remind the Italian extra virgin olive oil made from my day farm in Tuscany. Is so tasty! Amazing!
I was searching for the freshest EVOO I could find for its polyphenols benefits, especially oleocanthal. African Oils were the only supplier I could find who actually mentioned the date of harvesting and bottling of their oil. So, this was a good find. I have tasted a few EVOO's and I can taste this oil is fresh. However, I did not experience the peppery finish I was expecting in the back of my throat. It got me wondering if the oil was as fresh as advertised. When I enquired about this, Dan was helpful in explaining that the throat sensation varies due to cultivar, polyphenols levels, serving conditions and individual sensitivity. Customer service was kind enough to send me a sample bottle of pure coratina EVOO, as the 1l bottle is a blend with other oils. Since I drink it straight from the bottle, I can write off serving conditions as a factor for my still not experiencing the throat sensation. However, as someone who does normally eat a lot of really hot and spicy food, I can see how my individual sensitivity may be a big factor here. 😁 All this to say that I am happy with my purchase and the service I received. The oil does have a very clean, smooth, fresh taste. And I will definitely order again. And for those who, like me, are spicy food lovers, don't expect to feel the peppery finish you might be looking for. 😉
